The ritual of incense burning is ubiquitous in the Gulf‭, where the aroma of‭ ‬‘ud‭ (aloewood) ‬permeates our homes‭, ‬clothes and ceremonial halls‭. ‬A synonym of Gulf hospitality‭, ‬a way of showing visitors a‭ ‬warm welcome‭, ‬its history and value for the region can be traced back centuries‭, ‬making it the stuff of legends‭. ‬
